Community Events You Don’t Want to Miss

Most people know the city of Geraldton as a great place to own property, but it is what is within the city that makes it so great. Within the city limits are many fun places to go and things to see, not even including all of the nature activities to engage in.

Geraldton Land - Community EventsIf you do own land in Geraldton and are looking for something to do in the near future, then you are in luck because there are a couple of great community events coming up that are great fun for the whole family.

The first takes place every week and is one of the most interesting weekly events in the city. The Geraldton Railway Market is more than just your typical farmer’s market for they feature at their many booths a plethora of produce and other local food items from within the city and from all around the Midwest. If you have property in this area, then you will surely enjoy the event.

In addition to plenty of fresh food, there are also many expositions and sellers of handmade crafts and pieces of art. Anything from mosaics, wooden toys and even soy candles can be found here, handcrafted by local artisans and citizens like yourself.

There are also a few booths for various kinds of clothing and even some niche types of businesses, such as massages, psychic readings and more. With a little something for everyone here, the Railway Market is a guaranteed good time! They hold their market every Saturday and Sunday morning.

Another event that is approaching soon is the Midwest Relay for Life. In this event, teams of up to 17 keep the run going around an oval court with a baton for 24 hours. During the race, there will be live music and entertainment and activities and games for those not currently running. This begins on October 26th.

Anyone can participate and all of the funds raised during the relay from sponsorships and more will be donated to the Cancer Council WA to help research into cancer and its treatments. This is a very important cause that can do a lot of good for a lot of people, so we’d love your support and participation in this and hope that you have a great time too!
